Reality's Dark Shark
A Poem
Sad reality is a menacing shark
Cold black eyes without pity
Staring past your helplessness
Ready savage and barbarous
Without pity to inflict murder
The greatest of all your fears
Is where every effort proceeds
Distractedly you notice the fins
Their miraculous angular beauty
Worthy of praise or even a thesis
Creating a hierarchy of fin thought
Perhaps may contain beastly fish
In clever knowledge constructions
An epistemology of understanding
Might save you from being sliced?
Question such beastly countenance
The work of your divine creator
Sadly the monster is disregarding
All your planning has been futile
Your children now become visible
Youβre wondering for their future
No worry, they shall die too
Eventually, of realityβs dark shark
Shadowy glide across the sea floor
Donβt look above to contemplate
Believe in some other intervention
Saving your soul without any logic
Keep those dear thoughts handy
Holding your children temporarily
The menacing shark circles back
For feeding timeβs infinite encore
